"Tasted at the Kirsch Cruise 2024. For me, a rather weaker one from the Bally line. It was nice to be able to try it, but unfortunately it didn't convince me. There are far better ones I've had in my glass so far. For me it's more of an "entry-level rum""
"Update: After having had this bottle open for about a year and tasting it again I’m astonished to find that it is far better now than when freshly opened. Basically I get it now, it’s really quite good for the age and it’s amazing how the taste changes for the better in an open bottle. There seems to be an incredible development potential in the rums from this brand. I think Bally rums need a tremendous amount of age on them to really come into their own. When fresh from breaking the seal there’s a clayish dry quality to the taste that is just disagreeable but give it some months open and it matures beautifully."
"A good agricultural rum with lovely fruity notes despite its youth. Having tasted it several times over several months, I also think it reveals its best notes after a few days' opening. A pleasant surprise."
"A very nice rum despite it being as young as it is. Typical Agricole again with the vegetal notes, fruity and lovely spices. There is a hint of chocolate which is clearer once the glass has been standing for an hour after emptying. Price to quality is very good."
