How does this rum taste?
- Strong and spicy flavor
- Good value for the price
- Alcohol well-integrated
The "Kill Devil Navy Style" rum was distilled from molasses using a pot still by Hunter Laing, featuring a robust ABV of 57%. Users highlight its blend of Guyanese and Jamaican influences, delivering a strong, spicy taste with caramel undertones. Noted for its rich, roasted aroma underscored by alcoholic and ester notes, this rum offers a potent profile appreciated by high-proof enthusiasts. While some users commend its integration of alcohol and price value, others find it lacking in harmonious complexity, with a tilt towards burnt and medicinal notes. Suitable for cocktails, particularly for rum novices, "Kill Devil" offers a budget-friendly option in the navy rum category.

"Tasted against the legendary Navy called Tiger Shark (RX183) to find out if 100 EUR price difference is justified. Answer: They are. The Kill Devil is a strange rum. Seems more like a pimped, sticky herbal liqueur on dope. Where have the Jamaica ingredients gone? If the rum wasn't just Guyana and Jamaica, but - like the Tiger Shark - it might have been halfway exciting. Not so, of course. At least the alcohol is well integrated."

"I'm. Geruch kommt viel jamaika (ester Ananas, Banane Rosinen) gepaart mit einem starkem guyana ton(Holz dunkel, Malz und dunkle Schokolade) Im Geschmack dann das gleiche Bild. Den Alkohol finde ich gut eingebunden und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist echt super bei diesem vor allem unter anbetracht der hohen Alkoholstärke"

"Oh wow, I really like this rum. You can hardly taste the 57%. It has a lovely caramel and coffee note. That's pretty much exactly my taste in rums. Excellent, I can only recommend it."
