“Fasssprache N. 14 Chestnut vs. N. 01 Basis Rum. Die 6 zusätzlichen Monate im new-make Kastanien-Fass haben die Farbe um 8 Stufen dunkler werden lassen. Nase: voller und reifer als die Basis. Wirkt holzig-würzig-fruchtig aber auch nussig-ölig-fettig. Frucht geht weg von Limette, hin zu Aprikose mit Brombeere, vielleicht auch Stachelbeere. Die Süße geht eher Richtung Ahornsirup. Schöne Aromen. 7,4 Gaumen: vorab herzhafte Ahornsirup-Süße mit einer leicht speckig-salzigen oder fetten Nuss-Aromatik. Auch das Pfefferige kommt wieder durch. Deutlich Brioche, das die Frucht verdeckt… am ehesten aber doch wieder Aprikose. Das Fass gibt hier dich einiges schönes hinzu und macht den Rum süßer und runder. 7,4”
