“Fasssprache N. 02 American Oak vs. N. 01 Basis Rum. Als erstes fällt auf, dass die 6 zusätzlichen Monate im new-make Eichenfass die Farbe um 7 Stufen dunkler haben werden lassen. Nase: wirkt deutlich reifer und runder, deutlich weniger alkoholische Schärfe, das neue Fass hat viel Vanille und eine angenehme Süße beigegeben. Honig oder Ahornsirup. Dazu verstärkt es die Banane. Saure, spitze Töne gehen in den Hintergrund, weiche, karamellige kommen in den Vordergrund. Ein totaler Gewinn. 7,8 Gaumen: vollmundig, süßlich mit einem kräftigen würzig-holzigen Schub zu Beginn. Auch hier wird der ursprünglich junge, alkoholische Charakter vom Eichenfass deutlich weicher und runder gemacht. Die groben bitteren Zitrusfrucht-Noten wandeln sich ein wenig in holzig-nussige Bitter-Noten. Es kommt etwas Cassis hinzu, welche von dunkler Schokolade und Muskat begleitet wird. Schöner Eichenfass Einfluss. 7,6”
