So diesen auch nochmal in Ruhe verkostet. Im Gegensatz zu dem anderen von 82 Chapters of Newcastle ist hier das whisky finish erkennbar. Aber als Fazit muss ich sagen, auch dieser ist gar nicht so schlecht. Da frage ich mich wie man so einen Rum für unter 40€ auf den Markt bringen kann und wie andere Abfüller so viel verlangen obwohl die nicht deutlich viel besser sind.
Back-to-Back Verkostung mit dem 82 Chapters - Chapter #2 (RX17715); Erste Verkostung des Abends. Farblich deutlich kräftiger als Chapter #2. Schwenkt sich wässrig im Glas und und nur minimal viskos. Geruch auch hier wieder süßlich holzig-vanillig mit einem Schuss Estern und etwas in der Nase brennend; jedoch viel angenehmer und reifer als Chapter #2. Das macht Lust auf den Geschmack. An diesen musste ich mich zunächst herantrinken, da die ersten Eindrücke sind: wässrig und gleichzeitig ziemlich ätzend-scharfkantig. Ist das verflogen, dann entfaltet sich gelbe Früchte, jedoch ohne zu starke Süße und auch die Vanille ist nicht mehr präsent. Ein größerer Schluck und schon läuft der Speichel in Massen.. Holzig nach einiger Zeit am Gaumen. Gesamteindruck: eher alkoholisch-holzig, denn fruchtig. Gefällt mit ein Tick besser als Chapter #2 und deutlich besser als Chapter #1.
Underdog Spilt Chapter 3. Meiner Meinung nach auch ganz gut gelungen. Etwas kräftiger als der Vorgänger Chapter 2. Fruchtig und herb zugleich. Mir haben beide gut geschmeckt. Danke an Zabo für den interessanten Spilt.
So, der Dritte im 82 Chapters im Bunde. Mangels Gläser im Hotel muss dieses Whiskyglas herhalten. Passt ja irgendwie. Die Nase empfinde ich als sehr angenehm fruchtig mit einem floralen Touch. Am Gaumen kommt dann jedoch das Whiskyfinish deutlich zum tragen und ist mir definitiv zu präsent! Schade, die Nase hatte mehr versprochen. Für mich ist dieser Rum nichts, aber für Whiskyliebhaber eventuell. Der Preis ist dabei sensationell.
