Au nez c’est extrêmement pâtissier ! Brioche, beurre, crème brûlée, noix de coco, tout y est ! C’est vraiment très très bon. Le petit extra est un petit soupçon végétal, entre l’eucalyptus et le thé. En bouche c’est vraiment très sympa. Coco, vanille, poivré, fruits tropicaux. Seule point de déception, une finale un peu trop courte à mon goût, avec une réduction peut être un peu trop basse. Pour résumer, une très belle quille avec une gourmandise folle qui aurait mérité un peu moins de réduction !
I really enjoyed this Rivière des Créoles. Like many Mauritian rums, it has a smooth, accessible structure. It reminded me of my vacation in Mauritius, with its gourmet coconut notes and fruity touches. On the nose, it remains fairly discreet, but gains a little in intensity on the palate, without ever exploding in aroma. It's not a complex rum, but it's easy to drink, with no headaches. It's the perfect kind of rum to unwind after a hard day, for a little sensory journey. Unfortunately, the finish is a little short, which is a shame, because we'd like it to last a little longer. But for its price, it does the job. I'd recommend it without hesitation, even to those new to the world of rum.
