I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 25,000 bottlings, 270,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 50,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.

On The Rocks: On the nose there is a smooth mild fruit and floral presence with some underlying wood and spice notes. Taste reveals a stronger sweetness combined with a fruity, mild spice and wood notes. Finish is medium length with the sweetness and some wood notes trailing off. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose it smells like a pleasant sweeter rum and coke. Taste is very pleasant and sweeter with some underlying mild spice and oak notes. Finish is short fading away quickly. This is a very smooth and clean rum for mixing that is quite enjoyable. I would enjoy multiple of these mixed.
An oaky aroma, with a light hint of the oak when sipping. Less burn than expected. When mixed, I could get some of the cask bourbon, but not the cognac.
Fairly one note, but very smooth. Very sugar/vanilla forward with a blend of tropical fruits. A bit short on the finish, but definitely a solid mixer or sipper at a really good price. Compared to the other Kirkland offering, this one seems more refined and a better value.
