“#4608 10.02.2024 tasting event at the Nobilis Warehouse, Haderslev. This is a very well rounded rum considering its age. A big surprise and many bought a bottle to bring home. Nose Light wood and roasted notes, faint smoke, fruity, round, light medicinal. Palate Well rounded, light wood and roasted notes, fruity, round, balanced, light caramel, anise. Finish Medium long, wood, light roasted, round, raisin, chocolate.”

“The nose is dominated by dried fruit (mainly fig), accompanied by fruitiness, wood, plum, roasted notes, some glue and toffee. Similar on the palate but more balanced and rounded. I like it very much.”

“Sehr interessanter Diamond, mit seinem high Ester Profil. Nase: intensiv würzig-trockenfruchtig und irgendwie anders. Zunächst habe ich einen gedeckt-muffigen Eindruck, der durch eine schwefelige, wächserne und an Shiitake-Pilze erinnernde Aromatik unterstrichen wird. Hierzu passt auch der süßliche Duft von getrockneter Dattel und Dörrpflaume. Da kommt doch das Oloroso-Fass deutlich durch. Eine angenehme Frische von Limette ist im Hintergrund auch zu vernehmen. Etwas zu viel Sherry, aber dennoch gut. 8,0 Gaumen: Unerwartet säuerlich und spitz, fast etwas metallisch. Limette mit roter Johannisbeere und Sauerkirsche. Dazu, diesmal im Hintergrund, dieses leicht muffige, schwefelige, Shiitake-Pilz-artige. Hinten heraus leicht würzig und etwas rauchig. Auch hier wieder anders und dadurch interessant, so richtig lecker finde ich ihn jedoch nicht. 7,7”
