#4896 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Wood, light roasted, faint bourbon, fruits, light orange, Agricole, light herbal, faint floral. Palate Wood, Agricole, light orange, faint chocolate, light anise, medium spicy, oily, light floral, light sugarcane, light bourbon. Finish Long, balanced, Agricole, wood, light roasted, medium dry, oily, light vegetal, faint citrus. This is a lovely rum and I think the price matches what you get.
Alors là on sort des sentiers battus, mais je ne sais pas si c’est une bonne chose. Beaucoup de fleurs, de végétal, un peu de canne à sucre. Mais surtout abricot et mandarine qui mènent la danse. Un côté médicinal ou gentiane qui n’est pas forcément foufou… étonnant mais pas conquis - à 70€ c’est cool, mais à 150€ c’est délirant.
Nez iodé et beurré, sucre brun, quelques notes orange et abricot Robe ultra claire pour un 10 ans Bouche, bois usé en adéquation avec la couleur, iode timide qui laisse place à un forte amertume sur la peau de mandarine, et son pti effet collutoire. Un herbacé genre gentiane en filigrane. Un semblant de gourmandise qui clignote en fin de bouche (cad qu’il disparaît vite) Longueur assez persistante je trouve Avec des notes mentholé
