The Ron Esclavo XO Cask is a 65% ABV, limited-production rum from the Dominican Republic, distilled by Oliver & Oliver and bottled by 1423 World Class Spirits. Aged 23 years, this rum is known for its intense sweetness and warming roasted nut flavors. Aromas include treacle, caramelized sugar, and toasted notes. While some appreciate its complex, round taste with hints of boozy fineness, others find it overwhelmingly sweet, likening it to "Don Papa on steroids." It seems to be extremely sweetened! This sticky sweetness masks almost all the flavors... only roasted nuts and alcohol are still perceptible... I could imagine it in mulled wine
Rhum excellent, malgré la puissance il reste très rond et gourmand en bouche. Un rhum très complexe, note de fruit confit, très boisé. au nez très sucré mais qui ne se sent pas sur le palais. le final est long, une explosion en bouche au bout après 3 4 secondes qui rend la degistation exceptionnelle. a boire après 20 minutes d'oxydation
