How does this rum taste?
The POP’ Series N°1 by Inter Caves France is a limited-release Jamaican rum from the Hampden distillery, selected by Swell de Spirits. Distilled in 2012 and aged for 11 years, this cask-strength rum offers a complex profile with prominent notes of banana, pineapple, and tropical fruit, backed by vanilla and esters. On the palate, pineapple and licorice stand out against woody and olive undertones. Notably low in ester, it surprises with its blend of fruit and subtle spice, attracting both newcomers and loyal enthusiasts. Some find the finish short but appreciate its layered, evolving character. While its alcohol content is high, experienced drinkers enjoy exploring its subtleties. Perfect for adventurous drinkers, this exclusive release comprises only 318 bottles, making it a collector's gem.

I couldn't find out anything about the marque right now, but certainly low-medium ester level. On the nose, the pop is more on the spicy side with allspice, cask, but also fruit base, baking spices and pineapple. Spicy and tasty on the palate. Overall, no wow effect, but a tasty and relaxed sipper.
Leckerer Low Ester Hampden.
#4670 25.03.2024 Relaxing while my first vacation day comes to an end. Nose Fresh, light roasted wood, fruity, ester, light olive. Palate Light roasted wood, fruity, ester, light olive, floral, light anise, medium dry. Finish Medium long, wood, light roasted, pineapple, light anise, medium dry, light salty. The empty glass has some dried fruit, light coffee and faint toffee.
Ein sehr guter low Ester Hampden. Wenig Früchte, eher adstringierend. Ich würde auf OWH tippen. Hat Ähnlichkeiten zu einem Clarendon.
