How does this rum taste?
Inviting vanilla and fruit aroma
Peppery spice adds complexity
Affordable as an entry option
Infernal Rum No. Five is a Guatemalan rum aged for four years, boasting a diverse aroma featuring vanilla, fruit, and cinnamon. Despite the potential in its inviting scent, user reviews highlight an overall mild taste with prevalent notes of vanilla and spice. The experience is considered by many to be somewhat unremarkable, especially when compared to the initial olfactory promise. While some appreciate the sweet and peppery undertones, others note a lack of depth and integration, often describing the taste as diluted or unbalanced. This rum's mixed reception reflects its position as an entry-level choice, suitable for those seeking a simple sipping experience.

Time to finish up the 1423 Christmas calendar "24 days of rum". A rum from the band Infernal on day 18. In the nose I find hints of spices and some leather, and in the notes I'm also getting some spices, toffee and a bitter aftertaste
In my opinion, not as bad as the community has rated it. It tastes well spiced and also slightly tangy. Goes in the direction of spiced rum, but it's not. But completely okay for the price :)
Oh Boy, this is a right mess. I just get sugar, Vanilla and watered down disapointment. The ende of this drum ist outright horrible. This is a good example on how not to do stuff. I do not know if the cask just was off, but something really put this on the route of dissapointment.
Guatemala. I love myself a good independent Darsa. No idea what this is. Nose: sweet but interesting. Lemonade. Minerals. Whiff of funk. White chocolate. Okay okay. Taste: mmm pretty diluted. Smell was better. Alcohol not very well integrated. Everything is quite mild here. Too mild. The smell was much more appealing. Very boring. Bit bitter. An underperforming experience sadly.
