Nobilis Fernandes No.41
This Trinidad rum runs wood-forward, layered with mint, leather, and a touch of medicinal sharpness. Not typical for the region; give it time and it unfolds—one to try if you value mature, herbal-driven spirits.
Woody, minty, and layered—offers an unexpected Trinidad profile.

How does this rum taste?
- Minze sowie etwas Holz und Schokolade
- reif und vollmundig und doch geschmeidig
- The alcohol is so well integrated
RumX tasters consistently uncover prominent notes of mint, wood, and leather in this 24-year-old Nobilis Fernandes. Some find a medicinal and herbal edge, with mentions of roasted or caramelized tones weaving through. Mint seems key—“Die Minze verleiht ihm dann doch eine gewisse Frische” (Frank)—along with a persistent, sometimes intense dryness in the finish. Integration of alcohol divides opinion: Eric Frechin finds “il ne prend jamais le dessus sur le goût,” yet others say, “Der Alkohol ist leider nicht gut eingebunden” (Mentalo). Not your standard Trinidad, with the woodier, matured side winning plenty of fans.

To Fernandes
"GRF13: This is a heavy, very intense TDL. While some fruit is still perceptible on the nose, it increasingly disappears, as does the fresh minty note. Instead, a spicy, roasted profile emerges. The alcohol is not perfectly integrated. A good, but not first-class TDL"
"This rum needs a good airing before tasting. Quite a fan of tdl, I really liked this profile! The thing that surprised me was the integration of the alcohol, which never takes over the taste. There are far fewer fruity notes than in some younger tdl's, but the ageing process has done a fine job on the toasted/woody/burnt sugar notes, with a nice evolution towards a garage feel. This suits me more than well."
"Zur Feier des Adventskalenderkill darf es dann noch ein anständiger Rum sein In der Nase haben wir hier Minze und Frucht, sehr medizinisch das Ganze. Am Gaumen haben wir dann viel Minze sowie etwas Holz und Schokolade."
