It was distilled in 1998 from Sugar cane juice with a Column Still and then aged for 20 years. The rum has an ABV of 43,1%. A very nice rum and the price is OK.
Je sais pas si cela venait du sample que j’avais mais une forte odeur d’essence a l’ouverture qui a mis pas mal de temps à s’aérer. Après cela retombe dans les profils Père Labat, boisé, épices douces, fruits et agrumes. En bouche pas du tout ce coté essence, pas mal de puissance , bois, fruit, agrume, tout y est. Bon mais il lui manque un petit quelques choses pour avoir une meilleure note.
Il a fallu 1h30 d’aération pour avoir quelque chose d’agréable à boire. Le nez est intéressant, sympa, mais la bouche est fade, sans vraie longueur en bouche. On reste sur une impression d’avoir bu une gorgée de triple sec dilué.
