Like the previous rum, this one is also okay but just standard. It tastes slightly of vanilla and caramel, but only slightly. Otherwise it tends towards agricole. I like that kind of thing.
Good smell. Some wood. Some age. Agricole. So far so good. Taste, well balanced. Hay. Dry. Some spices: cardemom and ginger. Wood. Pretty nice. I am enjoying this and its a step up compared to the 3 year old.
Gar nicht schlecht! Typischer Madeira-Rhum!
Sample no.11 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2023. Nose could have fooled me this was a winetasting :) but yes very much wine and port from the barrels. Palate is a blend of agricole flavours together with the wine/port notes. Unique and not that bad for an agricole rum (not my favourites..)
