- Rich agricole taste
The XO Cuvée Prestige rum from Depaz, Martinique, offers a complex and aromatic profile. Distilled from sugar cane juice and aged for 11 years in oak barrels, this rum exhibits a woody, vanilla, and licorice aroma with hints of tropical fruits and spices. Featuring a mature, well-balanced flavor with woody and spicy notes, it combines vegetal hints and a peppery finish. Though well-crafted with a smooth, warm finish, some users find it not significantly better than other Depaz XOs and question its premium pricing. Ideal for those seeking a rich agricole experience.

"As a summary this is a very smooth and truly an magnificent Agricole. I suppose it’s Depaz best standard Rhum, aged for at least during 9 years in small oak barrels. I think there are some similarities with the old bottle of Grande Reserve XO which was aged at least 12 years. It’s very complex and it’s hard to sort out the aromas and tastes."

"A beautiful nose with spices, liquorice, floral tones with rose. Peach, wood and brown sugar. The alcohol, though low, is not fully integrated, which is a pity. The palate is far less complex than the nose, with rosewood, caramel and a slightly unpleasant astringency. The finish is too short, with some floral aromas. Tasted again and still not convinced."

"#4053 A lightly dry and fruity Depaz. Nice balance in the flavours but have loved a higher ABV. The empty glass is nice and has some nutts and light licorice."
