"A rum from Panama that departs a little from the pure Hispanic tradition, with some slightly more developed aromas. The nose is sweet but quite varied, with floral and tobacco notes adding a little complexity to the classic spicy, caramelized notes. Fruit and chocolate are also present. On the palate, this is a sweet rum whose power has been toned down, but the woodiness is more perceptible than the usual sweet notes. The finish rests on spicy, vanilla notes, mainly with a hint of fruit. This is not a revolutionary rum, but it does offer a break with Hispanic tradition for the uninitiated."
