“Endlich kann ich ihn in Händen halten. Ist nicht leicht und nicht günstig, an einen Renaissance heranzukommen. Einzelne Flaschen kommen über DK, UK und FR. Besser natürlich in Taiwan zuzuschlagen, wenn man mal die Chance hat, da zu sein. Die Chance hatte ich gerade und auch dann kann man den Rum nirgends kaufen. Wer in Taiwan lebt, kann sich über fb in eine Liste eintragen und sich so eine Flasche sichern. Freunde von mir haben das netter Weise für mich gemacht und so habe ich jetzt zwei Flaschen, eine zum teilen (ist bereits geschehen ☺️) und eine zum genießen… Die Destille experimentiert mit ihrem hervorragenden Rum und verschiedensten Fässern. Hier wurde in einem doch hochwertigerem Rotweinfass - der zweithöchsten Klasse der Bordeaux-Kkassifizierung- aus dem Médoc nachgereift. Herausgekommen ist ein vielschichtiger und intensiver Rum… Nase: intensiv und kräftig. Sehr fruchtig, säuerlich-süß, fast blumig, mit einer interessanten medizinischen Nebennote. Ganz vordergründig finde ich Limette mit Grapefruit, Stachelbeere mit Kiwi, Johannisbeere mit Maracuja. Dahinter eine Lavendel-Flieder-Wolke. Dazu passt irgendwie der Eindruck von Ingwer und Ahornsirup. Da ist auch noch eine künstliche Note mit kräftig-süßlichem Nagellack. Gefällt mir richtig gut. 9,0 Gaumen: oha, die 66,7% machen sich direkt bemerkbar. Sehr intensiv und kräftig, etwas beißend. Zunächst salzig und leicht bitter, bevor wieder die süß-sauere Fruchtigkeit durchdringt. Hier eindeutig Maracuja, Kiwi und Stachelbeere mit etwas Zitronenschale, leicht vergoren. Erst dahinter kann etwas Rotwein-Aroma durchdringen. Eine klare Ähnlichkeit zu manchem Savanna ist eindeutig da. Trifft auf jeden Fall meinen Geschmack. 8,8 Mich hat die kleine und feine Renaissance-Distillery mit ihrem fantastischem Grundstoff und ihren tollen Fässern in ihren Bann gezogen. Und dann dieses wahnsinnige rückseitige Etikett mit allen Infos, die man sich nur wünschen kann. Total toll!”
