How does this rum taste?
Ron Botran Roajú (Batch 1) from Guatemala offers a sensory journey that captures the essence of fine rum. Distilled from molasses with a 40% ABV, its inviting aroma melds fruity notes with cedar wood, roasted almonds, and hints of candied sweetness. On the palate, our community enjoys layers of caramel, butterscotch, clove, vanilla, and even a cappuccino nuance that reveals its barrel-aged complexity. While some RumX members highlight its distinctive character and barrel influence, others note an occasional watery or less pronounced flavor profile. Overall, the diverse tasting experiences shared by our community make this rum a compelling choice for those seeking an authentic, well-rounded spirit experience.

I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Degusté au Spirits Days à Tournai, notes rapides : Bref : je n'ai pas pris de notes, mais un rhum agréable et pas dénué d'intérêt
Roajú really surprised me, and although I don't know how to describe it since this is my first review. I can say that its a rum with a very marked character, notes of cinnamon cloves, licorice and ripened red fruits are especially felt. Neat is my favorite way for this one. 🥃
