Clément Canne Bleue 2016
Most praise its fresh cane, floral and fruity profile and how well it shines in Ti’ Punch. Critics find it a bit unbalanced or average neat. Consensus: a solid, mixer-focused agricole.
Fans of fresh, grassy agricoles who mainly mix Ti’ Punch and want a characterful, unsweetened 50% white rum with floral and fruity cane notes.

How does this rum taste?
Fresh agricole built for Ti’ Punch
If you already enjoy basic white agricoles and Ti’ Punch, this is a logical upgrade: more cane character and freshness, but still easy to handle in cocktails rather than as a neat sipper.
Beginners expecting a smooth sipper, or those who dislike grassy/vegetal agricoles or find 50% ABV too sharp when drunk neat.

À boire en Ti-Punch
A good, fresh blue cane. Enough to make quality ti punches.
Clement Canne Bleue made from just blue cane is a limited AOC Agricole that is released yearly, since the year 2000, in small quantities. So this 17th edition. The aromas makes me feel that I’m having an Ti Punch in my glass. It also makes a extremely smooth Ti Punch, even without sugar.
The nose is dominated by peanut, with floral, grassy and fruity notes. The taste is slightly sweet with floral and grassy notes and a slight peppery note. The finish is short and dominated by floral and grassy notes. As a ti-punch, this rhum performs much better. Lime, nicely fruity and fresh. Taste, light peppery note, grassy and slightly sweet. Pure this Rhum Agricole has not convinced me but as Ti-Punch to recommend 🥃. This Rhum Agricole is mediocre for me, I had expected something more🤔.
