“Extremely resinous and herbal on the nose. The taste is then slightly salty, bitter and herbal after iodine, licorice and salt lemons and sugar cane. Quite nice but not a highlight. Also somewhat insignificant in the daiquiri... I had hoped for more.”

“Un clairin plutôt atypique et quelque peu frustrant. Le nez est paradoxalement puissant mais fermé, ouvrant principalement des arômes synthétiques en premier lieu avec le polish et des notes médicinales. L’alcool, la canne à sucre et les herbes se suivent, avec un soupçon d’épices qui viennent attiser le nez. Un profil un peu déroutant mais pas spectaculaire. L’attaque en bouche démarre plutôt bien, avec des notes médicinales, salées et iodées, qui apportent un peu de fraîcheur avec la canne à sucre et les notes végétales. On décèle un peu d’agrumes, de notes rôties et légèrement épicées, ainsi qu’une trace d’amertume. Le profil, un peu huileux en bouche, est quelque peu déséquilibré et n’est pas d’une grande profondeur. L’alcool est un peu piquant, une réduction ne serait pas de mal ici. La finale est d’une longueur correcte, un peu rustre et rugueuse, avec pas mal de notes médicinales, salées, épicées, pimentées et rôties. On retrouve également du cuir et la canne à sucre, le tout étant plutôt piquant et amer depuis la fin de bouche. Un clairin qui est trop limité en dégustation pure. En revanche, il sera plus facile à accorder en mixologie.”
