By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 25,000 bottlings, 270,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 50,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

Foursquare and PX finish simply go well together. The finish on this one is rather subtle, but adds some complexity.
Auto-translatedDrinking this neat next to a Foursquare Detente. The Detente is the same age, abv, and also finished in port casks. The Detente is slightly darker and smoother on the finish, but this is a very nice sipper. Port finish gives it a sweet jaminess on the middle of the tongue. First of my Dead Reckoning's I've opened, and I'm enjoying it!
This is pretty much the repetition of it's sister bottling. But this one manages the alcohol quite a bit better. Also there is some Butteriness that intrigued me while sipping it. In the end Foursquare can be a lot better. But this is solid!
Nose is red wine and alcohol, with wood and vanilla. Mouth brings more oak and smoke, with some red fruit. Finish is peppery with oak and red fruits. Different to the normal ECS releases, and a bit more one dimensional. Not the best four square by any stretch
