“On The Rocks: On the nose moderate fruit balanced with mild caramel and oak with underlying sweetness with mild old dusty warehouse. Taste is smooth and nicely balanced with a spike or sweetness and short lived burn evolving into a more neutral mild oak and spice. Taste delivers on what you would expect from the aroma. Finish is medium as it changes from sweet to slightly bitter back to a mild sweet with the return of a mild burn. You can really tell the extra aging on this release as it is a well developed mature rum that is quite nice to sip. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose it is moderate musky old warehouse. Taste is slightly bitter musky old warehouse. Finish is short musky old warehouse. I don’t suggest drinking mixed at all unless you have a musky old warehouse fetish. Not enjoyable mixed.”
