How does this rum taste?
The 100 Aspects of the Moon #2 PM, hailing from Diamond distillery and bottled by Precious Liquors, stands out for its smoky aroma mixed with whisky and apple notes, showing a distinctly burnt sugar character on the palate. Several RumX members pick up apple both on the nose and taste, with Filip Šikula noting "jablko už celkem obvyklé u mladších Diamondů" and Jack M highlighting the "burnt sugar profile that is typical of Guyanan rums." Taster opinions are varied—some praise its "fantastic taste" (Sebas143), while others describe it as more subdued, mentioning a softer body and a "slabá Guyana totalně bez závěru" (Martin Švojgr). Easy to sip, if a little reserved.

By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Tasted at Ian Burrell’s Masterclass at UK RumFest. For me it leads with the burnt suger profile that is typical of Guyanan rums and perhaps a Port Mourant. I had spotted the Precious Drops stand and though this might be their White Cat (particularly also because there was a second Guyanan rum which I thought could be the Black Cat). Turns out I was wrong on the bottle but right on the still and bottler - I think that’s more luck than judgement but I’ll take it! This was actually my favourite of the five tried in the blind tasting, and it had some well-heeled competition.
A strange weak Guyana with no conclusion at all.
Very clean and fresh Diamond. Great complexity!
Tasted at German rum festival Amazing rum. Very easy sipper and fantastic taste. Another very good bottling by Precious Liquors.
