How does this rum taste?
- Distinct strawberry aroma
- Exotic appeal
- Unique flavor profile
S.B.S Tahiti (Bourbon Cask), a limited release by 1423 World Class Spirits, offers an intriguing rum experience with its 57% ABV. Distilled in 2017 and aged for six years, it presents notable aroma notes of strawberry and glue. Users highlight a fruity taste with synthetic and metallic undertones, reminiscent of fruit schnapps. While the nose carries sweet barrel hints, the palate’s synthetic sweetness leads to mixed opinions. With only 277 bottles available, this rum's exotic status intrigues, though some find it unbalanced. Ideal for adventurous tasters seeking unique flavor profiles, potentially appealing in cocktails where sweeter notes are desired.

"Well, unfortunately that's nothing... the whole rum is extremely sweet, artificial, thin.... Somehow "plump""
"Alkohol nicht gut eingebunden, hat was von künstlichem Erdbeerkaugummi á la Campino Sahne Erdbeer Bonbons und Tutti-frutti. ... Nicht so meins. Super scharf im Abgang. Schade. Da hätte mehr gehen können.."
"Interesting, strawberry dominates the nose. Then sweet notes of fruit brandy. In the mouth it continues as a fruit brandy, fruity and somewhat rough in terms of alcohol. Finishes briefly with strong strawberry again. Interesting that this is a rum. I don't need a bottle of it."
"In der Nase leicht süßlich in Richtung Honig, ein wenig Erdbeerbonbon Aroma und Erinnerungen an Grappa. Geschmacklich kommt dann eher eine künstliche süße daher erinnert tatsächlich an irgendwelche Bonbons. Hinten raus auch etwas zuviel Alkohol spürbar ab Obstler erinnernd. Hatte bei Tahiti irgendwie was anderes erwartet. War wohl dem Exotenstatus geschuldet. 😁"
