Un rhum léger avec une chauffe alligator qui lui donne un côté sombre très prononcé. On découvre au nez des notes grillées, un boisé fumé, voir brûlé, des épices douces, des fruits secs et du caramel cuit. C’est un style léger, sucré, reconnaissable parmi les rhums hispaniques (il peut faire penser au Zacapa). L’attaque en bouche est dans le même esprit, simple, directe, pimentée, sucrée, chaude et sans détour. C’est un style rond, très doux, sirupeux et qui conviendra parfaitement aux débutants. L’alcool est ici asphyxié par les notes sombres et sucrées. La finale n’évoque guère de nouveautés. C’est sombre, épicé, brûlé, sucré et caramélisé. L’influence du fût de retrouve tout le long de la dégustation. Ce n’est clairement pas le profil le plus abouti qui soit, il aura juste le mérite de changer des rhums traditionnels que l’on peut avoir au supermarché.
