Wow, nope. Fortunately, I can't taste anything from the whisky barrel, but this rum seems somehow ordinary and is clearly too spicy.
Masterclass with Alexandre Gabriel on 04.04.2024. Plantation becomes Planteray. Another whisky finish that I personally don't like at all. In contrast to the Guyana at the tasting, not so intrusive. Nice, but nothing I would need right now.
An der Nase ist zu Beginn nicht viel los, ein paar gelbe Früchte und aufdringlicher Alkohol. Nach einer Weile kommen ein paar Gewürze und Zitrusfrüchte dazu. Am Gaumen übernimmt das Fass mit vordergründige Würze und Tanninen. Auch hier habe ich einen unangenehm starken alkoholischen Eindruck. Der Nachklang ist mittellang und Würze und Tannine dominieren Mittelmäßiger Rum an dem ich nicht viel Positives finde.
Unaussagekräftiger Barbados meets Whisky Cask. Nicht viel Falsches, aber auch nicht viel Angenehmes. Whisky zerstört nicht alles, aber es ist auch kaum Geschmack da, der hervortreten könnte.
