How does this rum taste?
RumX members pick out a lot of caramel, wood, and spice in this Plantation Barbados (Port Cask). Several talk about the sweetness from the port, with damin.massicotte saying it’s "sweet, fruity, enjoyable" and Brebur noting "brown sugars and spicy, caramel flavors." The finish gets called medium and fairly smooth, but some find the wood slightly dominant and the sweetness a touch high. You’ll spot comments about red fruit, coffee, and a well-integrated port influence, plus a few nods to its drinkability on ice or neat. Overall, folks seem to appreciate the balance between the spice, the sweet, and the woody profile.

On The Rocks: On the nose mild alcohol, brown sugar and spice. Taste reveals and immediate alcohol burn and mild sweetness with a delayed moderate spice. Finish is medium with the mild sweetness and strong spice slowly fading away. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose a mildly dusty Pepsi zero. Taste taste is smooth with a mild sweetness but lacks depth. It is very enjoyable mixed but a bit of a waste.
Very fine rum, love the aromas, very smooth and easy to drink.
