How does this rum taste?
Most love its elegant balance of roasted wood, dark chocolate and agricole freshness. A few find it too woody and drying. Consensus: a top-tier, intense Bally for seasoned drinkers.
If you enjoy aged agricoles like Bally or St. James and don’t mind assertive oak, this is a dialed-up, darker take that many RumX users see as “peak Bally.”
Beginners, those sensitive to high ABV, or drinkers who dislike woody, tannic or earthy/agricole profiles.

A very successful rhum, surprising with its exceptional spiciness.
Just after its brother st james V&B. It's the same kind of Martinique profile, with a very present, greedy woodiness. This one is perhaps a little finer on the nose, a little spicier on the palate. It's an excellent martiniquais, but once again a profile that's perhaps too woody to enter the 90+ category.
I really like it. It almost reminds me a little of a long-matured, tropical EMB.
A real beast of a Bally, this is really really intense, tropical goodness. This is a lovely show of really the ester intense Bally rum that also has the typical floral notes in a spice package. I think this is peak Bally.
