Clément 1976
Highly praised as an elegant, complex vintage agricole with cognac-like wood, smoke and tropical fruit. Very soft, refined and fresh, rewarding slow sipping despite its relatively low strength.
Rum fans who enjoy refined, cognac-like agricoles with balanced wood, smoke and tropical fruit rather than high-ester power or sugar-heavy profiles.

How does this rum taste?
Elegant vintage agricole with cognac vibes
If you like elegant, cognac-style agricoles such as old Bally or Neisson, this Clément ’76 gives you similar refined wood, smoke and fruit with trademark sugarcane freshness at gentle strength.
Those wanting cask-strength impact, big funk, or very sweet, creamy rums; some may find it too soft, woody or subtle in the nose.

This one arrived this morning from France and I am already at number two of this nice rum. The nose is nice and typical Agricole with fruits and spices. A slight wood, floral, spice and sugarcane touch to it. The palate is complex and slightly dry with a lot of fruits. There is a sweet note with an earthy, floral and pepper touch to it. Smoky oak also joins in the consecutive sips. The finish is long and lightly sweet with fruits and caramel and in the back some wood. The cognac casks they were finished in is there from the nose to the finish.
Normaal geen Agricole fan maar dit heeft me overtuigd. Neus, mond en afdronk feest!
Beautiful work. Very elegant indeed... The nose is relatively timid and needs aeration... But on the palate it's very vegetal and fresh... A touch of vanilla, honey and yellow fruit... The finish is a little on the light side, but it's still a fine product... A few degrees more and you've got a monster!
Amazing juice. Very soft and elegant. Grassy, soft tropical fruits. French oak. spices, muscat, minerals. Remind really good cognac. Very elegant and fragrant.
