Schöner Blend aus einer ungewöhnlicher Kombination. Nanny of Maroon fällt mir spontan ein, Agricole und Melasse. Funktioniert bzw ergänzt sich auch hier prima. Die Jamaikanische Frucht passt gut zum Bielle Zuckerrohr.
#4959 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Light wood, round, fresh, light citrus, pineapple, sweet, sugarcane, light floral. Palate Round, light wood, faint roasted, fruity, light citrus, light pineapple, sweet, light salty, sugarcane, spice, light vegetal. Finish Medium to long, fresh, light wood, light roasted, sugarcane, sweet, light salty, faint bitter.
An interesting combination that works very well. Fruitiness from Jamaica meets balanced Agricole sweetness with subtle hints of wood. Very round and drinkable with a great fruity aroma. The sweetness is somewhat reminiscent of Jamaican rums rounded off in sherry casks, but without the heavy dried fruit notes. I like it, a pleasantly drinkable release at a relaxed alcohol strength.
Tropical fruit and honey on the nose, with a hint of citrus. The palate follows the nose in perfect balance. The 50 degrees are very good and bring this finesse to the palate. The finish is relatively long, without being excessive, still on those tropical fruits and honey with a little brown sugar. A very well-balanced, pleasant cuvee with no false notes. The only fault is the price, which I find a little high, without which the score would have been higher.
