How does this rum taste?
- Strong banana aroma
- Fruity flavor
- Sweet profile
Slia Mare Rum Blend, produced in multiple countries and bottled by Rum & Co GmbH, offers a tropical aroma with prominent banana notes, marked by a synthetic undertone. At 40% ABV, this rum features a flavor profile of banana, sweet vanilla, and orange, though many reviewers highlight its artificial taste. This has led to opinions that liken it more to a spiced liquor. Despite its fruity notes, Slia Mare Rum might not suit traditional rum enthusiasts seeking a natural, organic profile, as it appears to target the sweet rum segment.

"This is not good. It is extremely artificial and tastes very flavoured. Don't think it tastes like banana. It is like a artificial taste next to the sugar. Nothing is integrated. Rumundco can do better."

"Rum&Co seems to push this heavily, but it's targeting a market that already has many spiced rums that are well established. I am remembering A. H. Riise concoctions here, or Don Papa quite artificial in its spices and fruit, sweet. But alas, not as overpowering as said examples... One can drink this, but I would rather not."
