“Overall a fantastic Spanish rum that’s turning things upside down about characteristics around Spanish styled rum. A very aromatic, non sweetened cask strength that I tasted at the Stockholm Beer & Spirits Fair 2023. This rum is really something new from the Arehucas distillery in the Canary Islands. A 19yo cask strength from 2002, aged in just two American white oak barrels and bottled in 600 numbered bottles. Unfortunately for all of you that ain’t from Sweden is 90% of the bottles allocated to Sweden. But after what I understood from the Swedish importer, Daniel di Zasso at Herida Brands, has it received a lot of attention in many countries, so it will most likely be followed up with future releases.”
