On the palate, it presents a peppery taste followed by woody, vanilla, and citrus flavors with a touch of dark chocolate. Though some find it elegantly balanced, others feel it lacks complexity compared to older releases. Limited to only 252 bottles and bottled at 53.8% ABV, this rum intrigues with its unique character yet leaves room for more aging potential.

"Kommt nicht ganz an den 10jährigen Les Rhum Vieux ran, aber dennoch sehr ordentliche Abfüllung. An der Nase sehr rund und gefällig im positiven Sinne. Karamell / Sahnebonbon, Milchkafffee, Muskat, dazu leichte erdige / Wurzel-Noten. Am Gaumen Karamell, Muskat, im Abgang leichte Schärfe und Schwarztee bzw Tannine."
