How does this rum taste?
The Umganu Brandy Cask from the New Vibrations Collection by MHOBA is a distinctive South African rum distilled from sugar cane juice using a pot still. Bottled at a potent 64.9% ABV, this limited-release rum, produced in just 419 bottles, features a unique aromatic profile with notes reminiscent of agricoles, fruity schnapps, and vanilla intertwined with earthy and medicinal hints. On the palate, it presents a spicy, buttery texture with ester, salty, and earthy undertones. While many appreciate its bold expression, some find its high alcohol content prominent and its flavors too akin to fruit brandy, yet it offers a noteworthy exploration for adventurous rum enthusiasts.

wow, great Mhoba!
Delayed over 30 minutes. You can tell it smells different, but I wouldn't have guessed it was brandy. In the end, it smells nice. It's got the highest volts, but it's the softest compared to the indlova and umbila. In a blind tasting I would put my hand up that it's agricole from Martinique or Guadeloupe 😃.
100% Mhoba on nose, perfectly integrated and mild in taste. One of the best Mgoba I have tasted
