How does this rum taste?
Takamaka PTI Lakaz (Batch 2) serves up gentle layers of vanilla, spice, and fruit, with a distinct sweetness running throughout. The nose is described as "soft, not very outspoken" by Kay Meertens, leaning into vanilla and subtle tangerine, while the palate features orange, nutmeg, a hint of glue, and a mild herbal undercurrent. Community feedback spotlights a balanced, drinkable profile without much complexity—Lot-NAS sees it as "a foursquare with less punch and some herbal notes." Some find it a touch too sweet, others praise its easygoing character.

This Takamaka didn't quite meet my taste. Predominantly spicy on the nose, vanilla is clearly recognizable here. Lots of vanilla on the palate and also a little sticky. But overall too sweet for me.
A really decent sipper and my Favorit from Takamaka (so far). I would describe it as a foursquare with less punch and some herbal notes (herbal juices). Not overly complex but there aren’t any off notes either. Definitely a „bang for your buck“.
I feel some artificial taste addiction on my tongue...
A soft, not very outspoken nose with whiffs of tangerine, vanilla and wood spice. In the taste more power. Orange, vanilla, more spice and a bit of glue. The same remains in the finish, with now also a faint whiff of smoke.
