By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
It's clear to see what's happened here: the quality of bottled rum leaves much to be desired, and with ever-higher prices. Typical Enmore spices (aniseed, licorice, pepper), toasted oak, raisins and a touch of flowers and honey can be detected, but the nose remains very reserved, not to say insipid. The rum doesn't fare much better on the palate: the relatively low degree makes for a light, not so aromatic rum with an impression of dilution (even if it wasn't, in theory at least). Spices, wood, caramel and dried fruit make up the entire aromatic and taste spectrum, and this with low intensity. The finish is very short, with the same aromas. No sooner swallowed than forgotten, this rum will not be remembered by its bottler or distillery, except for its irrational price tag, especially when El Dorado releases an Enmore of the same vintage, under tropical aging, for half the price and twice the flavor.

Nice profile, too watery ... Enmore - drive destilerka, nyni uz jen funkcni destilacni zarizeni. Patrne jedine drevene destilacni zarizeni na svete, ktere se tesi velke oblibe. Rumy Enmore totiz maji prichut popelu, kuze, tezkeho dreva, coz nadchne zejmena milovniky nakourenych whisky. A pokud tradicnim Guyanskym zpusobem prida vyrobce do rumu trochu melasy, mate v lahvi unikatni velmi vyrazny a tezky rum. Jeden z mych oblibenych.
05-12-2024 Colours of Rum Tasting On paper a fantastic rum. But this is a disappointment. Believe it’s matured mainly continental. Very low ABV. Does not have the nose of taste that I usually likes so much from Enmore. Not a glas to revisit
