CoR Foursquare Barbados 2002
Most like its honeycomb, tea and light wood with a unique, technical pot still profile. Critics find it thin, short and not very “Foursquare”. Consensus: interesting but niche.
Rum geeks and whisky drinkers curious about a drier, technical, pure pot still Foursquare with honey, wax, tea and light smoke rather than the usual coconut‑vanilla profile.

How does this rum taste?
Quirky pot still Foursquare outlier
If you enjoy quirky, more “whisky-style” rums or Rockley-esque Barbados profiles, this is worth a try; if you love classic dessert-like Foursquare, manage expectations.
Fans of classic sweet, creamy Foursquare or beginners expecting an easy, rich sipper; also anyone sensitive to prickly spice or looking for strong intensity at this ABV.

Salon du Rhum 2024
Salon Du Rhum 2024 Interesting rum, something unique. Just not my kind of taste.
Just like the Royal cane 2002, I would definitely not classify it blind as Foursquare but as WIRD Rockley style. Nice notes of honeycomb, incense and honey, as well as herbs like chamomile and black tea. Overall somewhat biting on the finish.
CoR tasting, Rum Club Switzerland. A rather weak agricultural nose with dry herbs, beeswax, spiciness, pepper and dirty notes. The wood is very well integrated, but the spiciness/pepperiness bothers me a little. The palate is acqueous, diluted and the aromas struggle to express themselves. The wood and beeswax dominate the fresh tropical fruit, which, together with the vegetal, gives this wine quite a bit of freshness. The finish is short, although the wood lingers on the palate for a long time. A weak rum, especially on the first palate.
