With this rum you get bang for your buck. Lots of flavour in a well balanced rum at a nice ABV. Fruity and sweet as it always is with Malecon and also the wood and spices. I'm not sure, but I think I sensed a hint of leather in there as well Price to quality is very good.

I’m not a big fan of the Spanish styled Ron, but I like the Rare Proof series from Malecon. I believe it depends on the rich taste and that the sweetness is very good balanced with the quite high ABV. This one isn’t the best of them, but certainly a very good one anyway.

Dieser Rum aus Panama ist sehr ähnlich zu den süßen Rums aus der Dominikanischen Republik. Sehr fruchtige und karamellige Nase, wobei unweigerlich eine Rauchnote mitschwingt. Im Mund süß, mild und rund, die 50% sind nicht bemerkbar. Allerdings ist das Mundgefühl nicht wirklich komplex. Gesamteindruck trotzdem ganz gut, insbesondere das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis.
