#4270 28.09.2023 One of the samples from the Whisky N Rum Show in Copenhagen. This is an pretty nice rum and I'd say the price matches what you get. The nose is very subtle and fruity with light caramel. The palate is oily and warm with fruit and caramel. There is also a light herbal note. The finish is medium to long with light wood, raisin and marzipan. The curtains are beautiful, thin and very slow! The empty glass has a light nutty note as well as some mint.
Quite a hot and spicy rum. Mostly one dimensional flavours around wood, raisins and spice (black pepper, cumin). I’m glad I had a sample rather than buying a bottle, but it is nice enough and good quality.
An interesting nose, wood, barrel influence and citrus. Dry and balanced mouth, some caramel with wood and raisin. The finish is when the classic Beenleigh notes come through, nearly saves the rum but it is on the short side with ecalyptus, raisin and some fruit. Good but not great, the spice a little bit one dimensional
