12.01.2024 Retasting and I stick to my score. ----------------------- #4493 03-04.11.2023 Den Danske Whiskyfestival. Again a special meet up besides the event itself because we think it's a bit too dull. Had a great time with friends again. My notes. Nose: wood, roasted, fruity, vanilla, caramel, light citrus. Palate: oily, wood, roasted, chocolate, dried fruit, medium dry. Finish: medium to long, raisin, caramel, wood, medium dry. Empty glass has light toffee notes.
First impression: Quite nice, I expected more wood or something astringent. But the balance between the fruit and wood works quite well. Alcohol is integrated pretty good and some dried fruits keep lingering in the aftertaste. Side note: it did not get a lot of time to breathe 😁
