"The nose is intriguing with toasted hazelnuts, wood, red and dried fruits, then tobacco and custard. The palate is oily and enveloping, with sweet notes of dates(perhaps even apple and agave syrup) and cream, then spice/pepper, cashews and some toasted wood on the finish. The alcohol profile is reminiscent of a fine grappa. In the aftertaste that lingers for a long time, a very good, dry hint of wood. Overall it is quite simple, but with a distinct personality. I prefer the aroma to the taste. In the empty glass seasoned and dates. If it had not had that pungent alcoholic note it would have been a 9, it sins in roundness."
