Tasted at Spirits Days in Tournai, quick notes: Nose: smells of Ecuador, rather round, fairly spicy, coconut. Palate: terrible, in a bad way. Way too much alcohol. In short: terribly disappointed, I couldn't take a 2nd sip, the alcohol burns.
The Tokai cask gives some uniqueness to the nose, but otherwise it has a hard time standing out.
Brussels Rhum Festival 2024 Very fresh nose, then fruity and vanilla. Beautiful natural sweetness in the mouth, which is mild and then changes to spicy. Finish slightly alcoholic then long finish with herbal notes
