How does this rum taste?
The Panama Rum Recioto Cask Finish by El Ron del Artesano is a limited edition rum distilled in Panama. Using molasses and a column still, it's aged for over 13 years, offering an ABV of 60.9%. The nose presents fruity, oak, and raisin scents, while the palate is warm and sharp with caramel and oak undertones. Some users appreciate its balance and unique cask finish, though the high alcohol content can be overpowering. Its limited availability of just 106 bottles makes it a rare find, appealing to collectors and enthusiasts who enjoy deep, complex flavors.

I got my hands on a sample from this one. In the nose i can‘t found some specific notes from panama… The alcohol isn’t integrated well and the 60% are well notable as well the barrel. Anyway I expected a bit more from this. PN: This isn‘t a daily rum!
A nicely balanced rum in the flavours, but the ABV could have been integrated a lot better. The empty glass has really nice flavours after an hour and it draws pretty nice curtains in the glass.
The Sweet Wine Cask finish really dominates everything on this palate. In a way it overwashed the rum and I do not know if that is a bad thing. In the end this mostly shines in the alcohol integration and the rather okayish cask finish...
Alkohol könnte besser eingebunden sein. Im Abgang auch deutlich Column Stil rauszuschmecken.
