Asta Morris propose ici un assemblage de rhums dominicain, bajan et jamaïcain, et le mélange fonctionne étonnamment bien. Le nez est sur les fruits exotiques (banane, ananas), avec un petit côté médicinal sur les esters et des touches épicées et poivrées par-ci par-là. On pourrait reconnaître le style de Worthy Park, qui donne un peu de corps à ce nez tout en rondeur. Le profil ne trompe pas au palais : le jamaïcain fait de l’œil avec un amas de gourmandise et un côté funky très subtil. Le style hispanique et bajan se veulent plus secs, épicés, toastés et boisés, offrant un joli contraste qui équilibre la bouche. Les 10% de rhum jamaïcain passent très bien, offrant un plus à ce rhum dont on aurait pu attendre quelque chose de plus fade. Le degré d’alcool aurait pu être supérieur. La finale, qui aurait pu être plus longue, redonne ce mélange subtil entre gourmandise fruitée et épicée, douceur caramélisée et esters. La finale est sympathique, pas très complexe mais savoureuse. Un assemblage réussi pour un rhum de plaisir.
Déguste chez le caviste est favorablement surpris ! Un blend entre gourmandise et léger funk, des fruits de la vanille des épices douces. Esters très léger qui relèvent le tout. À 50€ c’est sûrement une bonne bouteille à offrir.
For begginers. Would not harm you nor overtaste you
It's an easy sipper. Tastes pretty sweet so I'm assuming there is some sugar added to it. Not something rum aficionados would really appreciate, but for someone just getting into sipping rum, this would probably be a good experience. In general finding it too sweet.
