Leicht sehr fruchtige Nase mit süßen gelben Früchten aber auch Zitrusnoten. Der Rum wirkt noch immer frisch und jugendlich obwohl 23 Jahre alt! Am Gaumen zuerst spritzig und scharf, aber nach 1-2 Sekunden kommen die Würze und Aromen. Zum Nachklang hin trocken und würzig. Wenn man sich Zeit für ihn nimmt, bietet er einiges zu entdecken - kann von der Intensität her natürlich nicht mit anderen brachialen highester Jamaikanern mithalten, aber hier findet man einen sehr feinen und aromatischen Rum.
Tasted during the RumX masterclass. Huge thanks the guys from R&BT for presenting their range! Very nice exploration of some low(we) ester marks. While some of the noses were a little light, the long aged expressions are very interesting on the palate across the board. Very interesting! :) I‘m pleasantly surprise. Despite the low ester content and short fermentation, there are a lot of flavors present on the nose and palate. Interesting profile.
Tasting mit Rest & Be Thankful am 07.02.2024: Sehr geschmackvoller low Ester Rum mit sehr fruchtigen Noten. In der Nase und im Abgang waren die Eindrücke aber nicht so intensiv wie erwartet. Insgesamt aber dennoch ein sehr feiner Rum.
Knackige frische Tropenfrüchte, angenehme Restsüsse, etwas herbe Anklänge von Holz und dezentem nussigen Marzipan. Würziger Abgang mit saftigen Fruchtestern. Intensiv und angenehm komplex. Ansprechend, vielschichtig, auch wenn das gewisse Etwas fehlt, das für die absolute Spitzenklasse erforderlich wäre.
