Chairman’s Reserve Single Batch Release (Smuggler’s Cove) leans heavily into yellow and tropical fruits, honey, and nutty, spicy layers—all propped up by a clean hit of bourbon cask. Tasted in San Francisco at Smuggler's Cove and packed a bottle right away. Very pleasant, fresh nose paired with tropical fruits. Rather atypical for a St. Lucia, but awesome. On the palate creamy, pleasantly sweet and mildly spicy - simply delicious!
Bei Smuggler Cove probiert. Leider sind die Flaschen zum Kaufen nun aus. Hab den letzten Schluck vor Ort in der Bar probiert. Kommt mir wie eine verdünnte RumX Abüllung vor. Hatt auch etwas von der Schwarzwäldertorte mit Kirschen.
Un nez inhabituel un peu timide, très porté sur le thé et le pot pourri. J’étais pas convaincu. Mais en bouche c’est vraiment l’explosion d’épices de fruits et il reste une belle canne derrière un voilà de crème, là ça fait son effet. J’étais à 8.5, je suis monté à 8.6 car la finale est vraiment très longue en entêtante. Belle découverte ! Toujours aussi fan de ces vieux Chairman (alors que la gamme de base est chiante à mourir).
Das ist meine erste Chairman‘s Reserve-Abfüllung im Glas, die ausschließlich aus Zuckerrohrsaft hergestellt wurde und ich muss sagen, sie gefällt sehr gut. Nicht unbedingt besonders komplex, aber dafür überzeugt mich dieser Rum mit seiner geschmeidigen Textur und den filigranen hellen Noten von gelben Früchten, Honig und Zuckerrohr sowie einem ordentlichen, makellosen Bourbonfass-Einfluss.
