How does this rum taste?
- Unique fruity character
- Interesting red wine influence
- Limited edition rarity
The Réunion Rum (Bottled for Kirsch), produced by the Savanna distillery and bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd, offers a distinctive yet polarizing profile. Distilled in 2016 and aged for 7 years, this cask strength rum boasts an ABV of 65%. Users noted a prevalent red wine influence on both aroma and taste, characterized by undertones of oak, roasted notes, and a distinct alcoholic presence. While some appreciate its fruity character and uniqueness, others find the alcohol overpowering and the wine finish too dominant. A rare limited release with only 302 bottles, this rum presents a highly debated profile among enthusiasts.

"I was skeptical about this finish beforehand. Unfortunately, the bottling doesn't really convince me either. As a Savanna fan, I don't really see any parallels to the base here. It is a traditional rum, I exclude HERR/Grand Arome. Overall, the rum is too unbalanced for me with lots of wood and roasted aromas."
"Red wine rum with a lot of alcohol. Too much. Color also rose. Completely unbalanced and ill-considered. Had really high hopes for the part."
"Rarely tasted such a bad finish! This red wine finish overpowers almost everything except the poorly integrated alcohol... I usually like subtle finishes with red or white wine. With this one, everything must have definitely gone wrong"
"The color does not exist on the RumX scale. Rose. It needs to breathe a little longer, the aroma becomes more natural. Very fruity, citrus peel, oak and medicine. In the mouth then furry, alcohol stings neat. He is not my thing, but could imagine that lovers of fruity rums can gain more from it."
