Not bad at all. Tastes a little sweet after a sweet wine finish, like a Madeira cask.
Well my first time tasting aged Agricole and so far a great entry point! A lot more “rummy” than I thought it was going to be - very much a Spanish-style column still rum with an added bonus of coconut alongside the oak, coffee, cocoa/cacao nibs, dark chocolate and some vanilla alongside it The nose is VERY lovely and inviting - no prickle whatsoever! Very balanced as well - this is good stuff! Especially factoring in I only paid €32 in Tenerife for it The value for money, the quality of the rum and surprising level of complexity of it for a 40% rum is really quite impressive Gotta score it highly here!
