Great! Nose and taste very different. Round, robust.

Aroma fruchtig mit Leder, Geschmack sehr mild, fruchtig Süß mit Honig im Abgang.

8,6:The nose is thick and deep, with heavy aromas of caramel and sweet coffee. The profile is roasted but very round, with caramelized nuts and vanilla. One can imagine a tight, sweet coffee resting close to the oak barrel.Aeration clears the horizon and lightens the rum somewhat. The aromas of soft white oak come into play. Then we come across the toasty coconut and vanilla, hand in hand, followed by sweet caramel. Time brings balance, and with it, a certain elegance and maturity of precious wood. 8,8:On the palate, we find a sweet rum with a lascivious complexity. The attack is both fruity and very round, with extremely ripe fruit bursting with sugar (mirabelle plum, peach). Caramel very slowly covers these fruits, carrying with it a few caramelized peanut and hazelnut chips. The rum is then enriched by leather and vanilla, before being picked up again by thick caramel. 8,8:The finish is extremely round, bordering on rum liqueur...

Mit diesem Rum verbinde ich sehr viel. Ein sehr angenehm milder Rum. Der Alkohol ist super eingebunden. Er ist etwas süßer und hat schöne Karamellnoten. Ich kann den Rum auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Update: seit Jahren mal erneut verkostet. Doch etwas süsser als in meiner Erinnerung :D Meiner Meinung eher für Einsteiger geeignet.

Very nice rum without any funny characteristics. I was little bit afraid of the name, but after all it was very pleasant experience.

A little too sweet to get a higher score, but I like it anyway so it will have a place at my Spanish shelf further on. It’s sweet and fruity with an aroma and flavor of vanilla. At the palate and during the medium long finish it’s also somewhat rather complex.

Un nez étonnement complexe, sombre et profond pour un rhum de type espagnol. Du caramel, du vieux bois, des épices, de la noix et un côté torréfié très agréable. La bouche est dense malgré l’ABV bas, le côté sucré avec un beau caramel est évident et enlève ici pas mal de points. Mais tout ce sucre ne diminue pas les arômes qui restent complexes avec une certaine profondeur. La finale est plutôt longue pour un rhum de ce type. Des arômes de fruits secs et de cuir y apparaissent. Un côté café torréfié est présent jusqu’à la fin dans ce rhum qui mis à part le sucre (pour mon goût beaucoup trop présent) me plaît beaucoup.

A sweeter rum, with a spicy hint. Introduced a few non-rum-drinkers to it, and it was a pleasant suprise for them. For me it's a good sipper with dried fruit and toffee in the nose, notes of oak, coffee and vanilla

Al naso è tostato/affumicato con frutti secchi, caramello e un po' di legno. Al palato avvolgente con prugne, caramello/miele, barile/pelle, affumicato/tostato. È abbastanza corposo ma ha poca profondità, resta comunque un prodotto interessante

This lovely rum is chestnut coloured. Smell is not the strongest, but you can distinguish nuts, chocolate, wood and leather. Nothing special?.....Just wait for it!......Let´s taste it. Boom! Sweet, woody and madeira with honey, soooo nice, and sooooooo looooooooong lasting. Body is aftertaste, aftertaste is body. AND IT IS SWEET. I have never tried something similar like this rum. If you can enjoy even sweet rums, go for it! Yummy! They add honey and some ingredients to this rum, to make it sweeter, so the rating is only "8". With honey I can prepare even sweet slivovitz, so no magic tricks has happened in this case.

I bought this rum recently and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It literally explodes in your mouth. Though sweet it still manages to be complex and a bit dark. The rum is stated as a 31 year, which is pretty unique.

Sladší, ale velice příjemný rum. Trochu vyšší cena vzhledem k jeho obsahu 50cl.

Too sweet, I found the 30-year Quorum significantly better. Some rums I can't fully appreciate anymore.
